# ledger_range

Returns the index numbers of the earliest and latest ledgers that the server has. On our endpoint this is the full-history range held by Clio, starting at ledger 32,570, the earliest ledger available anywhere on XRPL mainnet (ledgers 1 to 32,569 were lost early in the network's life).

This method will use `20` [Compute Units](/nodeapi/about/billing).

## **Parameters**

`None`

## Returns

* `ledger_index_min` (number) The earliest ledger index the server has.
* `ledger_index_max` (number) The most recent ledger index the server has.
